Stan Knight...arranged for private tastings at quaint wineries and got us to the front of the line on a busy day at the Castello di Amorosa. While we were wine tasting, he set-up our gourmet picnic lunch...everything was beautifully arranged when we emerged after imbibing maybe TOO much wine. When we threw Stan a curve and told him we wanted to hit a colorful local pub, he know just where to take us - Suzy's in Calistoga. "Perfect day in the wine country"
...Following our tasting, Stan had lunch set up for us at the edge of the vineyards. It was a relaxing and peaceful...served with a glass of Merlot from the winery. Then we traveled to the western edge of the Rutherford area to a small family owned winery. Pulling into the vineyards there were sheep grazing on the grass between the rows of the grape vines. This was their mowing system. As we got out, guinea hens went scurrying by and we were greeted by the owner and winemaker -- GS, SugarLand, TX

Stan went the extra mile...our itinerary through Sonoma Valley was pre-planned with us in advance, but could change as the day progressed...As luck would have it, it was raining when it was time to picnic, but Stan had already arranged for a private indoor lunch at a beautiful winery. They had letters from the White House about their wine...Back at our hotel, Stan gave me some handwritten notes for suggestions for our remaining honeymoon time.
